Festival Tasty Estonia

Festival Maitsev Eesti (festival Tasty Estonia) is the pinnacle of Estonian food culture, gathering authentic flavours and enthusiasts from both local and international locales for two days in Tallinn’s Creative Hub. The festival boasts a variety of foods and drinks, captivating presentations, competitions, and activities suitable for families. It’s a chance to discover the rich tastes that our country offers.

This event is a highlight of the year’s culinary events, spotlighting the Estonian food region. In 2024, the festival honours the flavours of islands Saaremaa, Muhu, and Ruhnu, expected to feature one of the largest exhibitions. Artisans from all over Estonia contribute to a rich tapestry of tastes with their edible and drinkable creations, complemented by various competitions and awards, adding excitement and entertainment to the festival.

The festival is organized by the Estonian Chefs Association and the Estonian Sommelier Association, along with other industry stakeholders. Festival Maitsev Eesti is instrumental in promoting local ingredients and producers to connoisseurs and suppliers alike. It plays a significant role in supporting local products, reducing the ecological footprint, and boosting Estonia’s reputation as a destination for culinary tourism.

Organizers

The Association of Estonian Chefs was founded on December 28, 2000. The mission of the association is the development and promotion of food culture and local raw materials in Estonia and the introduction and presentation of Estonian cuisine at a high level around the world. The association includes 141 chefs and cooks from Estonia’s best restaurants. Since the spring of 2018, EPU is also an official member of WORLDCHEFS.

The Estonian Sommelier Association (ESA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2000 by physical and legal persons who select, serve, and present drinks, operating based on public, voluntary, democratic principles. ESA has been a Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (A.S.I.) member since 2002. ESA’s goal is to raise the level of knowledge and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and to promote a drinking culture.
